Amanda really feels that “living in your day” as a bride or groom, gives them the ability to be present on their day, and allows your photographer to capture the absolute best images! Having a photo list is great, but being relaxed and letting your pro take the reins is key! Robin + Kelsey LOVE the private champagne toast idea … hint hint!

Summer is almost over and the girls are off to their upcoming trips!  But, before they jet off, they dive into the sometimes confusing wedding industry terminology that can feel overwhelming.  Couples usually don't know what the heck they mean! He’s a fashionista and truly it’s in his DNA, Chris’ mother was a high-end bridal gown designer in the 80s who designed for celebrities such as  Kris Kardashian when she married Bruce Jenner. As well as Bruce Springsteen’s wedding. 
He’s built a very successful team of photographers in Hawaii and shares what an amazing market it is! Hawaii is the most high volume market of anywhere which makes it such a unique location! It All Started with a ”Nice” Camera: Ashley + Jay Films

From sprinklers going off during the reception soaking wedding guests to a bride passing out during her ceremony to Star Trek’s William Shatner being a wedding guest, Robin and special guest Ashley of Ashley + Jay Films laugh about working together on these hilarious weddings with unbelievable moments!
It all started in 2006 when Ashley was thrown into the wedding industry by being asked to photograph a friend’s wedding because she had a “nice camera”. After this kept happening, Ashley’s love for weddings grew and she recruited then boyfriend, Jay to join her as her 2nd shooter. That all changed in 2017 when they were once again recruited by a friend to also shoot their wedding film. This event changed the trajectory of their longtime goals. After a solid 10 years in the industry, through storytelling and the art of filmmaking, Ashley & Jay set on a path to transition to cinematography exclusively.
